Put Your Best Face Forward
"Phones are inherently social devices and the industry is just beginning to discover what's possible."
~Mark Zuckerberg at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelone, February 2011
A mobile website is designed specifically for viewing on handheld devices and formatted to fit on a small screen so as to be viewable in a mobile browser such as Opera.'Mobile Internet' refers to access to the Internet from a mobile device, such as a smartphone or laptop via integrated abilities or via an independent device (such as a USB modem or PCMCIA card). The .mobi sponsored top-level domain was launched specifically for the mobile Internet by a consortium of companies including Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung, and Vodafone. By forcing sites to comply with mobile web standards, .mobi tries to ensure visitors a consistent and optimized experience on their mobile device. However, this domain has been criticized by several big names, including Tim Berners-Lee of the W3C, who claims that it breaks the device independence of the web: 1 -source: wikipedia

When they visit your website with their mobile device, what do they see?

A "mobile optimized website" is not just your same old website, stuffed into a 2" square screen. While some companies try to "mobilize" their clients' websites by simply putting a smaller design skin over their client's existing website, our solution is simple and elegant: create a simple mobile website for your customers and serve it up alongside your existing website.
